Are you nervous about going to the Interview?

An interview is a face-to-face ‘meeting’ that has a definite purpose. Through which, by assessing the qualifications of a candidate, it is decided whether his candidature for a post is right or wrong.

It is normal to have some nervousness while going for an interview and to get success in the interview, it is important that you treat the interview as a normal daily activity and try to instill confidence in yourself.

There are two types of candidates to face during this. First, those who are full of confidence. He doesn’t panic even if his interview doesn’t go well. Second, those who are nervous from the beginning and even if they are speaking properly, they understand that they are speaking wrong and sometimes they are not even able to speak properly in panic. This is fine up to some limit.

Often there is some nervousness before the interview, some people convert this nervousness into their benefit. They activate their mind to get rid of it and try to instill confidence in themselves. On the other hand other people lose confidence during this and the interview remains an unsuccessful process.

Why does this panic happen? One reason may be the atmosphere that is created in your home. Often everyone in the house takes it as an important event. In many homes, they leave for this interview as if they are going to the battlefield. In fact, the interview should be taken as a daily routine. Just like you go from home to office or to work, you should go for an interview. Not by ‘Tilak’ or by eating curd, laddus.

If you want to get rid of panic, then for this two things must be kept in mind. First, on the day of the interview, minimize the consumption of caffeinated foods like tea, coffee or cola etc. Too many people often think that this leads to ‘relaxation’. But it actually adds to the panic.

It would be better if you drink cold water, so that the amount of water in the body does not decrease. Second, do yoga or exercise, which not only causes ‘relaxation’ but also gives mental strength and it would be better if you think about what questions can be asked in the interview. Read and think about that fact.

Apart from this, by talking to other people, clarify your thoughts and expressions. Talking too often brings ambiguity in your thoughts and allows you to look at the problem from many new points of view. In a way, your interview becomes a ‘rehearsal’ too.

Be patient during the interview. ‘Interviewers’ try to harass you, their way of proving you wrong. You try to convince them with your logic that you are right and it will not be right to call them wrong. If nervousness arises during the interview, take a long breath and release slowly. This will reduce anxiety and at the same time increase your confidence.

( Best of luck for the interview)
